Federman & Sherwood Investigates John Hopkins University for Data Breach

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into John Hopkins University with respect to their recent data breach. On June 14, 2023, John Hopkins University notified law enforcement that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. According to John Hopkins University, they determined that information stored on their servers may have been subject to unauthorized access on May 31, 2023. John Hopkins University is still investigating the scope of information that was compromised; however, it has initially determined that the information exposed in the data breach includes: sensitive personal and financial information, [including names, contact information, and health billing records.] They will notify impacted individuals in the coming weeks.
