NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Moove IT and December Labs, leading custom software and development providers with 26 years of combined expertise, today announced their merger to become Qubika, a global leader in digital transformation for enterprises.
“This is an important, exciting, and timely strategic move for our two companies,” said Ariel Ludueña Karhs, CEO of Moove IT. “Our merger comes at a critical moment when customers are increasingly seeking trustworthy and innovative technology partners to drive effective digital transformation. With the experienced teams at Moove IT and December Labs working together, we will be able to provide an even wider range of service offerings to clients globally.”
Moove IT and December Labs will transition into a single enterprise effective immediately. Qubika, which will be privately held, will be headquartered in Texas, with service delivery from a network of locations in the United States and Latin America. Each company has regularly received strong ratings for its work quality and culture, evidenced by Moove IT achieving a phenomenal Net Promoter Score (NPS) over 80 and both companies’ regular recognition in the “Great Place to Work” awards, including December Labs achieving third place and best among software companies in 2023 for Uruguay.
“The team at December Labs has become known for delivering consistent, high-quality services to customers globally,” said Martin Palatnik, CEO of December Labs. “By combining with Moove IT, we are thrilled to offer our customers new and innovative solutions. Our best-in-class talent is excited by the opportunity to continue to address some of our clients’ most significant business problems and opportunities.”
RECOGNIZE, a technology services investment platform, orchestrated the merger in close collaboration with the leadership teams of both companies. The companies individually have deep experience serving high growth and enterprise clients including Pluralsight, Unilever, Shopify, ONE, Google, and Nest. In joining the customer bases and expertise of Moove IT and December Labs, Qubika will be equipped to design, develop, and deploy key service lines of custom software engineering, data, analytics, UX/UI research, and cloud services.
“We are increasingly seeing enterprises including nearshore providers in their service mix for mission-critical and high-value digital engineering work,” said Charles Phillips, co-founder and managing partner at RECOGNIZE. “Moove IT and December Labs have distinguished themselves as competitive, high-quality service providers with some of the best NPS scores and lowest attrition rates we have seen in the industry. We’re excited to bring these teams together to create the leading next-generation provider of digital transformation for enterprises in the United States.”
As part of the transaction, Phillips, former CEO of Infor and president of Oracle, will join the Board of Directors, and fellow Recognize Co-Founder and Managing Partner Frank D’Souza, former CEO of Cognizant, will join as a Board observer to provide additional support to the business.
