American Water Publishes 2022 ESG Data Summary and Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Summary

CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, announced today that it has published its 2022 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Data Summary and the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) Summary, part of the company’s commitment to data transparency and sharing timely information on key ESG and diversity metrics.

The third annual installment of the ESG Data Summary can be found in the Sustainability section of our investor relations website at ir.amwater.com/sustainability. The ESG Data Summary shares numerous metrics for 2022, including water quality compliance, health and safety, customer affordability, ID&E, corporate governance and more.

The 2022 ID&E Summary includes several significant measures including diversity metrics for the company’s Board of Directors and workforce.
