DQ Welcomes Spring and the Start of "Treat Szn” with Free Cone Day on March 20

Fans can enjoy a free small vanilla cone on the first day of spring

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spring is so close, we can taste it, and American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ) is inviting all fans to do just that! On March 20, the first day of spring, Free Cone Day will be celebrated at participating DQ® restaurants* nationwide.

A much-loved DQ tradition to ring in the warm weather season, on Free Cone Day, fans can get one free small vanilla soft-serve cone complete with a curl on top (limit one per fan, while supplies last). In addition to kicking off spring, Free Cone Day marks the beginning of “Treat Szn” – the time of year when the weather warms, and the only things that should be cold are sweet treats that come in a cone or cup.

“We like to think of Free Cone Day as the beginning of our favorite season – treat season! As we welcome the first day of spring, we invite all fans to stop by a DQ restaurant, get their free cone and make great memories with friends and family,” said Maria Hokanson, executive vice president, marketing at ADQ.

Fans looking to celebrate can head to DairyQueen.com or the DQ mobile app to find their local DQ® restaurant. The happy continues on social media, where fans can connect using @DairyQueen, #FreeConeDay and #HappyTastesGood.

*Free small vanilla cone at participating US non-mall locations. All day, limit one per person. While supplies last. May not be valid on delivery or mobile orders.
