Hunter Point Capital Introduces GP Financing Solutions

Richard Golaszewski and Stephen Swentzel to co-lead the new strategy

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hunter Point Capital (“HPC”), a leading independent investment firm focused on providing capital solutions to alternative asset managers, today announced the launch of the firm’s GP Financing Solutions platform. Industry specialists Richard Golaszewski and Stephen Swentzel, who recently joined the firm as Managing Directors and Co-Heads of GP Financing Solutions, will lead the new platform’s strategy focused on expanding the suite of capital solutions available to high-performing investment managers.

Hunter Point Capital plans for the GP Financing Solutions business to offer NAV-based loans and preferred financing solutions designed to help investment managers achieve their long-term and strategic goals. Through its inaugural GP stakes platform, HPC has developed expertise in identifying and investing in what it sees as the next generation of leading investment managers at inflection points in their trajectories. Leveraging this experience, the separate and distinct GP Financing Solutions platform will aim to create additional value across managers’ portfolios and broader enterprises.

“The GP Financing Solutions business enhances our ability to provide a more extensive range of capital solutions to investment managers,” said Avi Kalichstein, CEO of Hunter Point Capital. “This new capability complements our GP stakes business and offers a powerful set of tools that general partners can use to optimize their operations, better positioning them for long-term success.”

Messrs. Golaszewski and Swentzel added, “The current market presents an incredible opportunity to launch this strategy. Best-in-class GPs are increasingly seeking creative solutions from strategic partners who understand their businesses and objectives. This partnership model is core to Hunter Point’s value proposition and we’re thrilled to join a firm that is at the forefront of this development.”

Prior to joining HPC, Mr. Swentzel and Mr. Golaszewski most recently worked at 17Capital, where they served as Managing Directors and co-led the firm’s U.S. Investment team. During their tenure at 17Capital, Mr. Swentzel and Mr. Golaszewski originated, structured and executed preferred equity and NAV loan investments, establishing unique partnerships with private equity managers across their funds, management companies and strategic investors.
