Venture Capitalist Arian Simone Opens Leadership Academy & Crowned Queen Wa in Ivory Coast

The Arian Simone Fearless Leadership Academy opens on October 19, 2022, offering lessons to elementary school (1st - 6th grade) students in the village of Dawa in the Ivory Coast and its Founder is crowned Queen

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Announcing today, Arian Simone, Founder of Fearless Foundation – a 501c3 organization from the Fearless Fund with a mission to educate entrepreneurs through training, reduce racial inequities, and empower African-Americans to gain access to capital, has been crowned Queen Wa (meaning “the blessing”) of the African village of Dawa in the Ivory Coast of West Africa. The royal title follows the entrepreneur's recent investment in the community, partnering with the ProSeed Foundation – a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2016 with a mission to build elementary schools in remote villages of West Africa – to open the Arian Simone Fearless Leadership Academy in Dawa Grand Berebi Village.

As a token of their gratitude, the village of Dawa bestowed Arian Simone with the title of Queen, and she was crowned at an African Royal coronation ceremony by the Village of Dawa, its chiefdom and notables. Arian is the first person to receive this title in Dawa, showcasing the appreciation for what the Arian Simone Fearless Leadership Academy means to the village and to the children who will be attending the school. This is a momentous occasion for the village, as the academy will help eradicate generational poverty in the village of Dawa and will help shape the leaders of the next generation of the village and Africa.

“I am beyond humbled and grateful to God and the village of Dawa for this honor,” said Arian Simone, Founder of The Fearless Foundation. “Opening this academy is a momentous step in our mission to foster a more equitable world by providing the necessary support and resources to Africa’s future generation of entrepreneurs.”

To honor the occasion, a full African Royal coronation ceremony was held on October 19th, and was attended by the Governor, Mayor and Senator of Dawa, along with the entire community. During the ceremony, Arian was given a tribal name by the chiefdom of the village and introduced to the people of Dawa as their new Queen.

“We are honored to crown Arian the first ever Queen of Dawa for her resilient and generous efforts in building the Arian Simone Fearless Leadership Academy,” said Mr. N'Dri Kouadio Jean Claude, Governor of Dawa. “The new school is a tremendous milestone for our village and will change the future of our community for generations to come.”
