Press Ganey Names Dr. Nora Warshawsky as Nurse Scientist

Dr. Warshawsky will oversee nursing research to advance understanding of top challenges facing nursing leaders

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Press Ganey, renowned leader in patient, member, employee and consumer experience across the healthcare ecosystem, today announced the appointment of Nora Warshawsky, Ph.D., R.N., NEA-BC, CNE, FAAN, as nurse scientist, overseeing all aspects of nursing research and evidence-based practice for Press Ganey’s global hospital and healthcare clients. In her role, Dr. Warshawsky will work with clients to better understand the insight Press Ganey can provide into some of the most challenging issues that nurse leaders face today, including workforce and retention, safety, reliability and quality of care, to help provide the best support to their nursing staff.

Dr. Warshawsky has over 25 years of experience as a practicing R.N. as well as more than a decade leading graduate nursing academic programs. Her work has appeared in over 50 publications, as well as numerous presentations, before both national and international audiences. She holds numerous awards in recognition of the impact of her research on nursing leadership practice, including the 2022 American Organization for Nursing Leadership Foundation Nurse Researcher of the Year and the Association for Leadership Science in Nursing’s 2021 Suzanne Smith Memorial Scholarly Writing Award.

Dr. Warshawsky is passionate about nursing leadership, nurses’ rights and improving work environments. As part of her goal to be a continued advocate for nurses, she co-leads a research collaborative bringing together the strengths of several national nursing foundations to create a national academic-practice research project. She also serves on the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Pathway to Excellence and is the associate editor of Nursing Administration Quarterly.
