Spectrum Chemical Enters into New Distribution Arrangement with ANGUS Chemical Company to Provide Select TRIS Buffers and Derivatives for Life Sciences and Biopharmaceuticals Markets in United States and Canada

GARDENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spectrum Chemical Mfg. Corp. (“Spectrum Chemical”), a leading global provider of fine chemicals, laboratory equipment and supplies, has entered into a new distribution arrangement with ANGUS Chemical Company (“ANGUS”) that expands Spectrum Chemical’s product offerings for research and development and production scale-up at commercial and academic organizations serving the biopharmaceutical and life sciences industries in the United States and Canada.

Under the new distribution arrangement, Spectrum Chemical will market and distribute ANGUS-branded TRIS AMINO™ AC USP/EP and BIS-TRIS Biologics grade buffers, which are used as buffering agents in cell culture and bioprocessing applications, as well as purification of biological molecules in downstream processing. Today, ANGUS is the world’s largest and only fully integrated manufacturer of TRIS buffers.
