MIAMI & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer's)—the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol—today announced the retirement of Shawn Thurman, Executive Vice President, National Accounts, effective December 2022.
Mr. Thurman originally joined the Glazer’s organization as a regional supervisor in 1982. A series of branch, state, regional and marketing promotions allowed him to develop his career throughout the Glazer's organization in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Arizona. During his tenure, Mr. Thurman took on greater leadership roles, including serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Beverage Distributors, a joint venture partnership in Arizona, before ultimately moving into his current role with Southern Glazer’s.
“Shawn has been instrumental in building our industry-leading national accounts team following the Southern Glazer’s combination in 2016,” said Wayne E. Shawn has been an invaluable part of this team for four decades and will be greatly missed. I wish him all the best in his retirement.”
