In an unprecedented move, the Reggio Register team took to social media to steer the direction of new product development. They proposed eight designs and asked followers to vote on their favorites. “We wanted to engage with our user base to better understand their design preferences,” said Alison McPherson, Senior Marketing Partner at Reggio Register. The social media audience later named the patterns as well.

Social media’s first choice was Mosaic, a contemporary spin on a traditional hexagon pattern. Their next choice was Pinwheel, which takes a classic basketweave and turns it on its head. “We were amazed with the help we got from social media and think these are solid additions to our Made to Order Collection,” said McPherson.

For almost 40 years Reggio Register was known for traditional register designs. Then in January 2019 they launched the Made to Order Collection, introducing new grille designs for more contemporary spaces. These two new grille designs marry Reggio’s traditional and contemporary approaches by updating familiar designs for a new generation.
