Dr. Deborah Gross Answers the Call

Expanded Access for Mental Health Services Now Available

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pathway Healthcare is excited to announce that Dr. Deborah Gross is now licensed to practice in all four states Pathway Healthcare has office locations. Dr. Gross can treat patients in the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. “With mental health disorders on the rise, we are extremely excited to offer psychiatric services to such an underserved population. At Pathway Healthcare, our mission is to help people while increasing access to care. With Dr. Gross becoming licensed in every state, we will now be accepting psychiatric patients at all locations,” said Reid Roper, Pathway Healthcare’s Operations Manager.

Pathway Healthcare began treating addiction and substance use disorder patients on an outpatient basis in 2016. Although treatment included counseling services with licensed counselors, it became apparent that all mental health disorders needed to be addressed alongside of, or in addition to, patients being treated for addiction. To answer the call for increased demand for mental health services, Pathway Healthcare expanded its mental health services and has psychiatrists and licensed counselors on staff throughout Pathway’s fourteen locations.

About the expansion, Andrew Turner, President/COO of Pathway Healthcare said, “Dr. Gross has been an incredible asset to our offices and patients in Mississippi and we are very proud that she can now expand her reach throughout our entire organization. The shortage in mental health professionals nationally ultimately hurts patients by limiting access to much needed care. Dr. Gross’s multi-state licensures is just one way we are able to expand that access to a much needed population.”

Dr. Gross recently published “90 Ways in 90 Days”, a comprehensive eating disorder program for women in a three-book set. The set is full of warmth, wisdom, and wit. The program can be used as a stand-alone tool or to facilitate group or individual treatment. Dr. Gross attended medical school at the University of Texas at San Antonio and completed internship and residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she finished as Chief Resident. She is board certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine and has forty years of clinical experience. She is a Life Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association, a Diplomate in the American Board of Addiction Medicine and a Fellow in the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
