HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nomi Health, the direct healthcare company coordinating COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts across the country, has launched four additional drive-thru testing sites across Texas, including new permanent locations in Frisco, League City, and Texas City. The company is also bringing a temporary testing tent to Austin for Austin City Limits (ACL) festival this weekend, offering walk-up swab rapid antigen tests for festival-goers ahead of entering the event.
“Since opening our first Texas clinic in August, we expanded to over 10 COVID-19 testing sites and we are working to ensure more people have access to hassle-free testing across the state,” said Mark Newman, Nomi Health founder and CEO. “Testing is critical as we resume any sense of normalcy, and access to testing should not depend on who you are or where you live. No one will be turned away at our sites.”
As part of this growing initiative to bring testing solutions to communities in need, Nomi Health recently partnered with Frisco ISD to make sure students and staff have quick and convenient access to free PCR and antigen testing in the community with a priority access lane. Hours of operation are Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of the Frisco ISD site and the temporary walk-up clinic near Austin City Limits which is open October 8 to October 10, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
The drive-through sites offer both PCR and antigen tests with a 24-48 hour turnaround for PCR tests and a 1-hour turnaround for the antigen tests. The samples are processed in a CLIA-certified laboratory using FDA-authorized test kits. Individuals in need of a test are asked to bring an insurance card if they have one. Although testing will be at no cost to patients, insurance information will be requested of individuals who have insurance coverage.
