CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Satellogic, a leader in sub-meter resolution satellite imagery collection, today announced that Greg Frey has joined the Satellogic Business Development team as Global Director of Channel Sales.

In his role, Frey will cultivate new international channel partnerships to support the continued adoption of Satellogic’s industry-leading data in regional and local markets. In doing so, Frey will directly support Satellogic’s mission of the democratization of geospatial data while opening up new markets for the company.

“Greg has amassed a wealth of experience in the Earth Observation industry, and his knowledge of maritime applications for Satellite data is particularly exciting,” said Thomas VanMatre, Vice President of Global Business Development at Satellogic. "Greg has both a deep and broad understanding of the global Earth Observation market and under his leadership Satellogic’s Channel Program will open and expand exciting new opportunities for increased revenue and growth.”

This hiring news follows Satellogic’s recent partnership announcement with premier geospatial solutions provider GeoTerraImage. “Satellogic has completely redefined what anyone thought possible in the Earth Observation market. As a result, we make high-resolution imagery accessible to a rapidly growing number of regional and national markets around the globe,” said Greg Frey, Director of Global Channel Sales at Satellogic. “I’m excited to work with this highly talented and visionary leadership team and to build enduring relationships with our channel partners. Together, I’m confident that Satellogic and its partners can help bring online geospatial solutions that advance the commercial, humanitarian, and ecological efforts of end users everywhere.”

A space industry veteran, formerly serving as International Sales Director for MDA, Frey brings over a decade of experience developing robust, global sales and service operations. Additionally, Frey has made strides in accelerating the adoption of satellite imagery and complementary data for maritime environments and solutions. Frey also brings with him a full spectrum awareness of the Earth Observation market, having provided optical as well as SAR data to global governments and commercial customers.
