CIEP to Take on Important Platform Role with Newly Launched Sector on Science and Technology Popularization

SHENZHEN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 19th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) will take place late April in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. As one of China’s largest annual gatherings for talent exchange, CIEP is set to attract thousands of professional institutions, companies and organizations globally with featuring a series of forums, exhibitions and recruitment fairs. This year, CIEP will take on the platform role with a new sector on science and technology popularization, to inspire public enthusiasm for technology and foster scientific talents.

The newly introduced Science and Technology Popularization & Exhibition Hall consists of three main parts -- a special exhibition hall, the 3rd China Science Popularization Innovation and Development Summit, and the 1st China (Shenzhen) Youth Science and Technology Innovation Education Forum.

Covering around 7500 square meters, the hall is set to feature 80 outstanding companies, organizations and institutes from China and abroad to showcase their efforts in educating the public about sci-tech achievements. Artificial intelligence, intelligent transportation, innovation education and life science are the four main sectors in the exhibition hall. Big-name high-tech companies, including China General Nuclear Power Group, UBtech Robotics, Skyworth, Chimelong Group are joining this year’s exhibition. Experts and educators are also invited to interact with participants — young people, especially — to help the public learn better about the latest fruits of innovation.

The exhibition is also putting under the spotlight companies and experts that participated in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Through designated panels, they will share with people life science and pandemic control and prevention knowledge.

CIEP’s Science and Technology Popularization & Exhibition Hall furthers the conference’s function as a leading international conference that focuses on global talents. Apart from its current role as an exchanging, communicating and trading platform, CIEP is now taking on the responsibility of cultivating innovative sci-tech talents.

Themed “creating an atmosphere for social popularization and incentivize talents’ creative vitality”, the 3rd China Science Popularization Innovation and Development Summit features keynote speeches of experts from the Chinese Academy of Science, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, China General Nuclear Power Group, and other major companies and government authorities. They will engage in thoughtful discussions on a variety of topics, such as how scientists should engage in popularization work and how companies could deliver social values through popularization work.

The other forum included in CIEP’s new sector, the 1st China (Shenzhen) Youth Science and Technology Innovation Education Forum, shed light on the future of China’s sci-tech education. Leading professionals in the field, experts from institutes such as the Beijing Normal University, the Chinese Academy of Science and the Chinese Academy of Engineering are to share their thoughts under the theme, “carry forward the scientist spirits of the new era and ignite youths’ curiosity on science and technology.”

The Hall also carries special meanings for Shenzhen, China’s newly emerged hub of innovation and sci-tech. Around two dozen Shenzhen-based schools will take part in the exhibition sector and showcase their talent training system. Principals of Shenzhen’s primary and middle schools are also invited to the education forum, joining the discussion while taking advantage of the cutting-edge products presented in the exhibition.

CIEP is building its supportive role for Shenzhen to establish popularization classrooms and for China to achieve high-quality advancement in its popularization work. With meeting the trends of international science popularization and technological talents cultivation, the newly launched sector is bound to attract more and more global talents to pour into China and contribute to science popularization.
