AHF Presents International Condom Day: A Celebration of Safer Sex

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest, non-profit HIV/AIDS organization in the world, operating in 45 countries and 16 states domestically (including DC & Puerto Rico), again celebrates International Condom Day (ICD) on February 13^th. AHF will continue the theme ‘Safer is Sexy’ with this year’s ICD celebration including a virtual premiere of a sexy and seductive burlesque show starring comedian Flame Monroe. Best known for her Netflix debut of “Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready,” Monroe is set to lead viewers through an experience of laughter and entertainment, all while reinforcing a strong educational message of the importance of safe sex and condom usage. ICD themed events will be taking place both virtually and in person, in various countries across the globe. AHF, which now has over 1.5 million lives in care, will provide and distribute safely over 1 million free condoms in recognition of this significant holiday.

International Condom Day, created by AHF and celebrated each year on February 13^th (the day before Valentine’s Day), came about as an innovative and lighthearted way to remind people that wearing a condom can prevent pregnancy and STDs, including HIV. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation hopes this show sparks healthier sexual choices for all.

Keeping with traditions and themes, AHF has created and produced an array of parody music videos to celebrate the ICD holiday. Previous music selections include infamous and Grammy award winning songs from artists such as Cardi B, Ed Sheeran, and more. This year, AHF will be debuting a new parody that is directly aligned with the virtual show’s musical catalogue, which stems from the various Broadway productions of renowned award winning director/dancer/ choreographer, Robert “Bob” Fosse. In addition, making a debut appearance in an AHF production, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 7 winner, Violet Chachki, will be showcasing her various talents, which have made her the infamous All-Star she is widely known as today. Chachki will also be making a brief cameo in the virtual show.
