Press Ganey Chief Safety & Transformation Officer, Dr. Tejal Gandhi, Recognized as One of the 100 Most Influential People by Modern Healthcare

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Press Ganey today announced that Dr. Tejal Gandhi, Chief Safety & Transformation Officer, has been named by Modern Healthcare to its 2020 list of the “100 Most Influential People.” Gandhi has long been one of the industry’s leading voices for patient and caregiver safety, devoting her career to advancing health care safety as foundational to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. In addition to leading Press Ganey’s Safety 2025 and Equity Partnership initiatives, Gandhi co-chairs the National Steering Committee for Patient Safety, which earlier this year issued a National Action Plan for reducing patient harm.

Dr. Gandhi has dedicated her career to reducing harm across the health care continuum, with the goal of creating a safe, equitable care environment for patients and caregivers, She has led multiple programs focused on improving patient and workforce safety, becoming a highly regarded national voice within the health care industry as CEO of the National Patient Safety Foundation, and authoring numerous journal articles on improvement in patient safety and reduction in patient harm. In 2019, Dr. Gandhi was elected as a member of the National Academy of Medicine. She is also a recipient of the John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award, given in recognition of her contributions to understanding the epidemiology of medical errors in the outpatient setting and for developing prevention strategies.
