Olo Appoints Zuhairah Scott Washington and Russell Jones to Board of Directors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Olo, the leading on-demand e-commerce platform for the restaurant industry, today announced the appointment of Zuhairah Scott Washington and Russell (Russ) Jones to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Ms. Washington has a proven track record of success scaling high-growth marketplace businesses through digital transformation and disruptive technologies as an executive, board member and angel investor across B2B and B2C brands. She is currently the Global Senior Vice President & General Manager of Strategic Partners for Lodging and Vacation Rentals across all brands at Expedia Group, and Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners, a networked-based venture capital firm. Ms. Washington previously held General Manager roles at Uber where she led the company’s fifth largest U.S. market and played a critical part in its financial success growing revenue to a $1B annual run rate in three years. She was recognized in 2020 by Savoy Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America. Ms. Washington earned her Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School respectively, and earned her Bachelor of Arts from UCLA magna cum laude.

Mr. Jones’ impressive tenure leading financial management and business strategy for major technology companies internationally spans more than 39 years. He currently serves as an advisor to Sierra Wireless, Georgian Partners and the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, and previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Shopify Inc., a leading global commerce company, from 2011 to 2018. Under his guidance, the company successfully listed to the NYSE and TSX in a $150M IPO in 2015 and gained millions of dollars in follow-on financing. Mr. Jones has also held prominent leadership and consultative roles focused on strategic planning, financial management and organizational structuring/scaling. He is a CPA, certified director (ICD.D) and earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Carleton University.
