Treace Medical Appoints Two New Members to its Board of Directors

PONTE VEDRA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Treace Medical Concepts, Inc., a privately-held medical device company focused on advancing the standard of care for hallux valgus (bunion) surgery, announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed John K. Bakewell and Lawrence W. Hamilton as members of the Board.

John K. Bakewell has served in senior executive roles for nearly three decades, building and executing business strategies for growth companies across the medical device, specialty pharma, diagnostics and healthcare provider sectors, while also serving on public- and private-company boards. Mr. Bakewell’s professional experience in the medical technology industry includes serving for nine years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Wright Medical Group, Inc., from its private equity-backed reorganization through the company’s initial public offering, as well as multiple years of industry-leading growth and creation of its industry-leading lower extremities franchise.

Since 2008, he has served as a Senior Adjunct Faculty and Executive Coach with the Center for Creative Leadership affiliate Leadership Development Institute at Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, FL. He also manages a private executive coaching and HR consulting practice, Hamilton Consulting. Mr. Hamilton has served in a variety of human resource management and executive level positions, with several publicly-traded companies including the Bristol-Myers Squibb Company.
