St. Thomas University’s Center for Pandemic, Disaster and Quarantine Research presents “Leadership in the Land of COVID-19”

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--COVID-19 has created a plethora of challenging legal, economic, health, business and politically related concerns, and its impact has accelerated the need for effective leadership to combat these challenges. Of critical importance is that these concerns will substantially impact upcoming elections, and the future political landscape of our region and the country at large. In an effort to provide a valuable forum to engage in robust discussion about “Leadership in the Land of COVID-19”, St. Thomas University’s Center for Pandemic, Disaster and Quarantine Research (PDQ) will present a webinar on Thursday, October 29, 2020, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The webinar will be a hybrid event, allowing for live participants in attendance at St. Thomas University’s School of Law Moot Court Room.

“Leadership in the Land of COVID-19” discussion will be led by prominent South Florida political figures, including Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, Senator Oscar Braynon, Mayor Francis Suarez, Senator Elect Shevrin Jones, and Commissioner Daniella Leviene-Cava. Each of these distinguished panelists will share their visions and strategies for leading our community during COVID-19 and will address webinar participants’ questions.
