MACOM Expands Diode Portfolio with Three 80 GHz to 100 GHz Wideband Control Products

The MASW-011111-DIE, MAAD-011038-DIE and MAAV-011014-DIE are best in class control components manufactured using MACOM’s patented AlGaAs PIN diode process

LOWELL, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MACOM Technology Solutions Inc. (“MACOM”), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced at the virtual International Microwave Symposium (IMS) three new wideband diode products, the MASW-011111-DIE, the MAAV-011014-DIE and the MAAD-011038-DIE.

These new products are the microwave industry’s first integrated W-band diode products that operate between 80 GHz – 100 GHz frequency range while also achieving high linearity and 1dB power compression of approximately +25 dBm.

  • The MASW-011111-DIE is a wideband single pole, double throw switch that offers 0.8 dB insertion loss over the operating frequency range with 25 dB of isolation.
  • The MAAV-011014-DIE is a wideband Voltage Variable Attenuator (VVA) that offers < 3 dB insertion loss, > 25 dB attenuation range and return loss > 10 dB in all attenuation states.
  • The MAAD-011038-DIE is a wideband 3-bit step digital attenuator with 1 dB LSB, 7 dB attenuation range and return loss > 12 dB in all attenuation states.

These new parts are ideally suited for a multitude of applications, including Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Passive Imaging, Radiometry, SATCOM and Test Instrumentation.

MACOM will highlight its RF portfolio at the 2020 virtual International Microwave Symposium (IMS), August 4th – 6th. We invite you to sign-up for a private meeting with our engineering, applications and sales teams to learn about our latest products and technology.
