AMA Houston Extends Crystal Award Submission Deadline

May 14th Crystals Gala Postponed Due to Coronavirus Pandemic

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AMA Houston, the leading educational information, career-building, and networking resource for Houston’s marketing professionals, today announced that the submission deadline for the 34th Annual AMA Houston Crystal Awards has been extended to May 7, 2020 with early-bird pricing now ending April 30. As of now, the Crystal Awards Gala to be held May 14, 2020 at The Hobby Center has been postponed. The host committee has booked June 18 at the Hobby Center as the new gala date.

“The Houston marketing community looks forward to the Crystals as we celebrate the best in marketing, and nothing will stop us from doing that,” said Erika Waters, President of AMA Houston. “Your work and the entries you have been compiling will be judged and will receive the recognition they deserve. While we have re-booked with the Hobby Center, the situation we are in is ever-changing. Our Chapter task force is diligently looking at additional dates and even other gala options, while heeding advice from local governments and the CDC. Whatever happens, the show will go on and we are working hard to determine what that will look like.”

With more than 90 award categories in marketing, advertising, web and social media, public relations and communications, Houston-area marketing professionals have many opportunities to submit their outstanding work from 2019.
