Pharmacy Times® Adds National Healthcareer Association to Its Strategic Alliance Partnership Program

Pharmacy Times® will publish a technician supplement in July 2020.

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--Pharmacy Times®, the leading multimedia pharmacy network for pharmacists, expands its Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) program with the addition of the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

“Pharmacy technicians are such an integral part of the pharmacy team and have a real impact on patient care and outcomes,” said John Hydrusko, vice president of Pharmacy & Healthcare Communications, LLC. “We are very proud to be working with NHA and create resources together to educate the entire pharmacy team and improve patient care as their role continues to evolve.”

NHA aims to develop, advance and advocate for the frontline health care worker, especially pharmacy technicians, resulting in improved patient care. They have awarded more than 900,000 certifications across multiple healthcare professions, providing individuals with nationally recognized measurements of competency. NHA provides learning resources, exam preparation tools, and comprehensive certification to grow pharmacy technician skills and achieve professional success.

“Every day, we are focused on how we can provide support for technicians wherever they are during their professional journey, from their initial training to building their skills to climbing the career ladder,” says Jessica Langley-Loep, executive director for education and advocacy at NHA. “We are excited to partner with Pharmacy Times to give hard-working technicians across the country a platform for relevant news, career resources, and education.”

The Pharmacy Times® SAP program builds a community of advocacy groups and medical associations and institutions to foster collaboration and an open exchange of information among trusted peers for the ultimate benefit of patients and their families. As part of this joint effort, Pharmacy Times® will work with NHA to support pharmacy technicians and promote their value to the pharmacy team. Pharmacy Times® will also work together with NHA to produce an inaugural technician supplement, to be published with the July issue of Pharmacy Times®.
