Lighter Capital Appoints Joe Silver to Chief Financial Officer

SEATTLE SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lighter Capital (www.lightercapital.com), the leader in providing growth capital to tech startups, announced today the appointment of Joe Silver to Chief Financial Officer. Silver had served as Lighter's Vice President of Finance since 2015 and was instrumental in securing access to $100 million in credit assets from HCG Fund Management, LP (“HCG”), also announced today. Lighter Capital plans to fund hundreds of early-stage companies in SaaS, tech services, and digital media with its non-dilutive forms of financing including Revenue-Based Financing, Term Loans, and Line of Credit. Since 2012, Lighter Capital has invested over $200 Million in 350+ startups over 650 rounds of financing.

In his new role, Silver will continue to focus on Lighter Capital’s growth through fundraising and capital market strategies, building out the company's finance and analytics functions and growing market opportunities through new product development and geographic expansion.

Silver has spent his entire career focused on the intersection of finance, technology and small business lending. He began his career in the Financial Management Program at GE Capital and later spent six years in the microfinance and impact investing sectors. Prior to Lighter, he managed treasury and capital markets at CAN Capital. Silver holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
