PEMBROKE, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AXIS Capital Holdings Limited ("AXIS Capital") (NYSE: AXS), today announced that Martin McCarty has been named as the Company’s Global Treasurer. In this role, he is responsible for overall capital, foreign currency, cash and liquidity management, as well as coordination with ratings agencies on behalf of AXIS Capital. In addition, Mr. McCarty is responsible for providing finance support to the Company’s Risk Funding unit and servicing its strategic capital partners. Mr. McCarty, who has been with AXIS for 15 years, will report to Peter Vogt, Group Chief Financial Officer, and continue to be based in the Company’s Alpharetta, Georgia, office.

Since 2004, Mr. McCarty has held a progression of finance management positions within AXIS, including Head of Finance North America and, most recently, Global Head of Finance Operations. He worked at Regions Financial Corporation prior to AXIS and started his career at Ernst & Young LLP.
