Generational Group Proudly Sponsors 12th Annual Generational Salute – A Tribute to Our Troops

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Generational Group, a leading investment banking firm for privately held businesses, is honored to have served as title sponsor of the 12th Annual Generational Salute – A Tribute to Our Troops, an annual fundraising event dedicated to honoring veterans and supporting organizations that serve members of the military community.

The two-day event began October 28, 2026, with a gala at Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, Texas, followed by a golf tournament October 29 at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine. Each year, over 60 North Texas veterans are invited to take part in the gala and golf tournament.

Since 2015, The Generational Salute has helped generate over $3.5 million through the annual Veterans Day fundraiser. Proceeds support post-9/11 veterans through services including housing assistance, service dogs, mental healthcare, PTSD and traumatic brain injury care, educational scholarships, and other critical resources.

This year's beneficiaries were Northern Texas PGA HOPE, Defenders of Freedom, Adaptive Training Foundation, and Troops First Foundation, four organizations focused on improving the lives of veterans and their families.

The October 28 gala featured retired Major General Kevin “Potts” Pottinger as its guest of honor, along with Medal of Honor recipient Salvatore “Sal” Giunta. Pottinger retired from the United States Air Force in 2015 following 39 years of service. A command pilot with more than 4,000 flight hours, he held several senior leadership positions and concluded his military career as Mobilization Assistant to the Commander of Pacific Air Forces. His honors include the Distinguished Service Medal.

Following his military retirement, Pottinger served on the Texas Military Preparedness Commission from 2016 to 2024, including as chairman, and currently serves as chair of the Freedom Mobility Foundation. He and his wife, Anne, have lived in Keller since 1995 and remain active in their church and community.

The celebration continued on October 29 at Cowboys Golf Club, where veterans joined participating golf groups on the course. The tournament provides an opportunity for members and guests to spend time alongside veterans, hear their experiences firsthand, and recognize the service and sacrifice of members of the United States Armed Forces. Proceeds from the event help fund services intended to improve veterans' quality of life.

Anna Davis, a Generational Brand Ambassador, was also among the special guests attending this year's event. Anna is an American amateur golfer and senior at Auburn University who first rose to national prominence by winning the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur at age 16. She has since established herself as one of Auburn’s most accomplished golfers, setting the program record for career individual victories while earning multiple All-American and All-SEC honors. Her collegiate résumé includes individual titles at NCAA Regional competition and several of the nation’s premier tournaments.
