Amica Ranks #1 in JD Power 2026 U.S. Auto Claims Satisfaction Study

Earning its 70th JD Power award, Amica ranked first in Trust and six other measures in the recent auto claims study

LINCOLN, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amica Insurance has ranked #1 in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Auto Claims Satisfaction StudySM, highlighting the importance of trust, clear communication and reliable support when policyholders need their insurer most.

This is the fifth time Amica has earned top honors for both auto and home claims satisfaction in the same year, and this particular recognition marks Amica’s 70th JD Power award to date. Amica ranked first in Trust for both the auto and home claims studies in 2026, underscoring its commitment to delivering a consistent, customer-centered experience when customers need support the most.

Amica earned a score of 775 on a 1,000-point scale, finishing 75 points above the industry average and improving 57 points over its 2025 score for auto claims satisfaction. The company ranked first in seven of the study’s eight dimensions: Trust, Fairness of Settlement, People, Communication, Ease of Starting a Claim, Time to Settle a Claim and Ease of Resolving a Claim.

The results underscore Amica’s focus on delivering what matters most to consumers: knowing they can count on their insurer to communicate clearly, handle their claim fairly, and help them navigate the unexpected circumstances that come with a loss.

“Whether policyholders are navigating an auto accident or damage to their home, they’re counting on more than a claim payment. They’re counting on someone they can trust to help them through the process,” said Amica’s Chairman, President and CEO Ted Shallcross. “Trust is built in the way we show up for our policyholders by listening, communicating clearly, treating people fairly, and helping them through a difficult experience. This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the trust we strive to earn every day.”

This recognition builds on a series of JD Power honors Amica has received in 2026, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering a consistent customer experience across its insurance offerings.

Earlier this year, Amica ranked #1 in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Property Claims Satisfaction StudySM, earning its 12th recognition in that category, and its second consecutive recognition as the top-ranked company in the JD Power 2026 Home Insurance StudySM. Additionally, they earned the top spot in Customer Satisfaction among Auto Insurers in the New England Region.

Together, these results tell a broader story about consistency and how Amica is demonstrating its value to consumers beyond the coverage itself by helping at every stage of the claims processes, from understanding their coverage to processing a claim.

“For nearly 120 years, we’ve grounded our business in a belief that lasting customer relationships are built on trust, empathy, and being there for your customers when it matters the most,” Shallcross added. “Even as insurance needs evolve, our commitment remains the same: Make it easier for policyholders to get the help they need and give them the confidence that we’ll be there when it matters most.”
