Dropzone AI Named to Fortune Cyber 60 List for Second Consecutive Year
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dropzone AI, the agentic SOC you operate, was named to this year's Fortune Cyber 60™ list for the second consecutive year. Presented by Lightspeed Venture Partners and AWS, this list recognizes 60 of the most important venture-backed cybersecurity startups that have not yet undergone an IPO, acquisition, or other significant exit. Now in its fourth year, the Fortune Cyber 60 honors companies addressing some of the industry's most pressing challenges across AI security, identity and access, data protection, cloud security, and security operations. Honorees are recognized across three categories: early stage, early growth, and growth.
"Our collective of AI agents works the defensive loop continuously, so analysts spend their shift on the calls that need their judgment and own every one of them. That is how we scale cyber defense beyond human limits." – Edward Wu, Founder and CEO

For twenty years, security operations centers (SOCs) have rationed coverage by the hours a team has, pulling work from a queue in the order someone can reach it. That model was already at its limit, and accelerating offensive capability is turning a strained model into one that has to change. According to Optiv's 2026 Creating a Modern and Mature Security Operations Center (SOC) Report, only 51% of respondents rate their SOC's ability to keep pace with modern threats as effective, while 46% cite insufficient staffing as a challenge.
Dropzone AI changes how the SOC operates. A collective of specialized AI agents carries the groundwork of security operations continuously across alert investigation, threat hunting, and threat intelligence. Intelligence shapes the hunt, hunting hands findings to investigation, and each agent shares context with the rest, so analysts receive decision-ready findings with the evidence and reasoning attached. Analysts set the bounds for what the agents act on and own every verdict, so a shift goes to deciding rather than assembling. Running in production across more than 300 environments, Dropzone AI extends security coverage beyond the alert queue, so every alert gets investigated and every lead gets hunted, whatever the volume or the hour.
"Being named to the Fortune Cyber 60 for a second year reflects what our customers are proving in production every day," said Edward Wu, Founder and CEO of Dropzone AI. "For twenty years, SOC coverage has stopped where someone's hours stopped, and adding more tools or analysts doesn't change that math, because the constraint is how the work moves through the SOC. Our collective of AI agents works the defensive loop continuously, so analysts spend their shift on the calls that need their judgment and own every one of them. That is how we scale cyber defense beyond human limits."
To develop this year's list, Lightspeed evaluated more than 300 cybersecurity startups, considering annual recurring revenue, current- and prior-year growth, and business operations. The selection process combined validation of company-reported data with proprietary research, consultation with Lightspeed's CISO network, and analysis of the cybersecurity market. The final list was reviewed and validated by Fortune.
