AIRO Expands NATO Market Access Through NSPA Framework Agreement

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIRO), a next-generation aerospace and defense company, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Sky-Watch A/S has been selected under a framework agreement with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), awarded through NSPA’s AGS & UAS Programme on behalf of the UAS Partnership. The agreement enables UAS Partnership member nations to acquire the RQ-35 unmanned aircraft system (UAS) through a streamlined procurement pathway.

The agreement expands AIRO’s access to UAS Partnership member nations and creates new opportunities for the RQ-35 platform, supporting the Company’s plans for long-term revenue growth across international markets.

“The NSPA framework agreement represents another important step in executing AIRO’s international growth strategy and expands our presence across allied defense markets,” said Joe Burns, AIRO’s Chief Executive Officer. “The framework broadens our access to potential customers for the RQ-35 and positions us to pursue additional growth opportunities as NATO members continue to invest in tactical unmanned capabilities.”

The RQ-35 Heidrun is an operationally proven, battle-tested UAS designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance missions in contested environments. The hand-launched platform offers up to 2.5 hours of endurance, optional onboard AI capabilities, and rapid deployment by a single operator.

The agreement comes as NATO members continue to invest in unmanned ISR and situational awareness capabilities and underscores the RQ-35's competitive position in the market.

NATO Nations interested in acquiring the RQ-35 under the framework agreement may contact the UAS Partnership at uas@nspa.nato.int. Additional information on NSPA and the UAS Support Partnership can be found here.
