Energy Domain Brings Proprietary Title-Chaining IP to Frontier AI Models
New releases for TitleLab® and Fundamentals embed Energy Domain’s specialized title-examination engine directly into Claude and other MCP-compatible frontier models—enabling land, title, and engineering teams to execute accurate chain-of-title and well analysis from their preferred AI workspace.
FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Energy Domain today launched Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for TitleLab and Fundamentals, its courthouse records and well data products. Customers can now ask Claude or another MCP-compatible AI model to run a chain of title on a Texas tract, build a lease take-off for a section, or assemble an offset cohort, and receive a finished runsheet or analysis with every source cited.
Land and engineering teams already use AI for email, documents and spreadsheets. Most oil and gas AI tools, though, run inside the vendor's own platform. Energy Domain's MCP servers work the other way: customers keep the model they already use, and Energy Domain supplies the records, the examination workflow and the citations.
Given a tract, the TitleLab MCP runs a guided chain-of-title examination. It sweeps the tract index and every grantor and grantee in the chain, reads the recorded images, resolves blanket conveyances, and builds the runsheet and ownership model from the patent to the current owners. Mineral, royalty, leasehold and override interests come back as exact fractions with closure checks. Landmen can also build lease take-offs, rank active lessees in a county and list estimated expirations, across recorded instruments in 30 Texas counties.
In the same conversation, the Fundamentals MCP moves from the tract to the wells on it. It covers 4.5M+ U.S. wells and builds like-for-like cohorts by Confirmed Interval, vintage and spacing, with production normalized per effective lateral foot and parent and child wells tagged.
"Upstream decisions run on two sets of records: who holds the rights and what the wells are doing," said Ben Heinzelmann, CEO of Energy Domain. "Our customers are already leveraging the most powerful frontier AI models to enhance their workflows. Until now, those models couldn't see the county record. A landman can now ask for a chain of title in plain English and get a runsheet back with every instrument cited."
Every answer carries its source: instrument number, volume and page for recorded documents, and API number for wells, so an analyst can check any link against the recorded image. The servers honor each customer's product and geographic entitlements on every call. TitleLab does the examination work, and the title opinion stays with the attorney.
