GridCARE Adds Two Senior Leaders as Power Acceleration Scales Across the U.S.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Former Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Advisor Christina Hayes and former Uber Global People Leader Manavi Baveja join GridCARE as the company expands its work to unlock power for AI infrastructure and other large loads.

GridCARE today announced the appointments of Christina Hayes as Head of Government Affairs and Manavi Baveja as Head of People, strengthening the leadership team to support the company's rapid growth and adoption of its Power Acceleration solution. The appointments come as GridCARE scales from its first year of operations, during which it qualified 5 gigawatts (GW) of Power Acceleration projects across the United States. The company is expanding its work with utilities, data centers, hyperscalers and other large power users across the country.

As large-load interconnection is becoming a focal National issue, Christina Hayes will lead GridCARE's Federal and state policy engagement. She will work with utilities, regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders to advance approaches that accelerate access to power while protecting reliability and ratepayers. An energy attorney and policy leader, Hayes brings more than two decades of experience across electricity regulation, utilities, transmission and public policy. She most recently served as Executive Director of Americans for a Clean Energy Grid. Previously, she was Vice President of Federal Regulatory Affairs at Berkshire Hathaway Energy. Earlier, Hayes held multiple roles at FERC, including serving as an advisor to FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff, and served as an administrative law judge at the Public Utility Commission of Oregon. "Throughout my career, I’ve focused on making the grid more reliable, affordable and accessible. GridCARE shares those values. It helps new customers get power faster and reduce costs for all customers," said Hayes. “It’s a crucial moment for the country and I am thrilled to be onboard.”

Manavi Baveja brings Uber-scale organizational experience, joining GridCARE as Head of People, and bringing her experience building talent, leadership and organizational systems at rapidly growing technology companies. At Uber, Baveja held global leadership roles in organizational development, culminating as Head of Organizational Effectiveness in the U.S., and helped build the leadership and management systems through 3X growth. She later served as Head of Talent and Culture at Chainlink Labs. "As GridCARE grows across the AI energy landscape, deepening utility partnerships, and offering a path to community benefits for regulators, I’m here to support the team that is the heartbeat powering these technological advances," Baveja said. She will lead GridCARE's people strategy, including talent, culture, leadership development and organizational design.

"We are solving one of the most urgent constraints on economic growth: solving the Time-to-Energize Crisis by bringing new power demand online faster in a responsible way that maintains reliability and affordability,” said Amit Narayan, CEO and Co-Founder of GridCARE. “Christina and Manavi will help us build the policy foundation and organizational structure to deliver solutions the world needs."

Scaling Power Acceleration, GridCARE EnergizeTM combines advanced power-system modeling, physics-based AI and qualified flexible operations to provide speed-to-power for large loads utilizing available capacity on the existing grid, which avoids emissions and can lower rates for communities. The approach addresses a growing mismatch between the speed of AI energy demand growth and the time required to build conventional grid infrastructure.
