Sixth Annual CoreGiving Day Makes More Than 4 Million Meals Accessible Worldwide

Blackstone and 30 of its portfolio companies support 115 hunger-relief organizations across 16 countries and five continents.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CoreGiving, a 501(c)(3) organization that unites people and partners to nourish children and families through grants and volunteer service, multiplying its impact in the fight against childhood hunger, hosted its sixth annual CoreGiving Day on October 1, 2026.

For the third consecutive year, the initiative expanded its global reach, engaging more than 4,000 volunteers from Blackstone and 30 portfolio companies. Together, they partnered with 115 hunger-relief organizations serving 107 communities across 16 countries and five continents.

Through a wide range of activities, volunteers helped enable more than 1 million meals for children and families facing hunger. From stocking pantry shelves in North America and packing meal bags in India to rescuing produce in England and serving hot meals in Australia, participants addressed food insecurity in their local communities.

Financial support from CoreGiving’s six sponsors, CBRE Group, Inc., Colliers, Cushman & Wakefield, Eastdil Secured Savills, JLL and Newmark Group, Inc., helped fund an additional 3 million meals through CoreGiving’s network of hunger-relief partners.

Together, these efforts made more than 4 million meals accessible worldwide.

“What started as a single day of service has grown into a global effort that reflects the values shared across our network,” said Luke J. Petherbridge, chairman and co-founder of CoreGiving and CEO of Link Logistics. “Every year, more volunteers, companies and community partners choose to participate, strengthening our ability to support communities facing food insecurity. Their collective commitment continues to expand the impact we can make together.”

“Food insecurity affects millions of children and families around the world, often forcing parents to make impossible choices and creating barriers to a child’s ability to learn, grow and thrive,” said Bridget O'Connell, executive director of CoreGiving. “We’re proud of the impact achieved through this year’s CoreGiving Day, and we remain committed to supporting our hunger-relief partners working every day to ensure children and families have access to nutritious food.”

Since its inception, CoreGiving has helped provide more than 100 million meals for children and families in need. To donate to CoreGiving or learn more about the organization, please visit www.coregiving.org.
