Christina Clementi Named Chief Operating Officer of Buttonwood Group Advisors

Appointment supports Buttonwood’s continued growth and the development of its investment platform

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Buttonwood Group Advisors LLC (“Buttonwood” or “BGA”), an SEC-registered investment adviser to private investment funds, today announced that Christina Clementi has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

Ms. Clementi previously served as Senior Managing Director of Investment Banking at Buttonwood’s affiliate, Joseph Gunnar & Co., LLC, the New York based boutique investment bank. She brings more than 14 years of buy-side investment management experience to her expanded role, including seven years in global equity research and investment strategy. She was also a co-founder, partner and analyst at Safkhet Capital Management, a high-conviction, fundamental short-only hedge fund. Ms. Clementi holds an MBA from Yale University and a BA from Smith College, and she holds FINRA Series 7, 66 and 79 registrations. She is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.

As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Clementi will oversee Buttonwood’s day-to-day operations and support the firm’s organizational development as it expands its investment platform and pursues opportunities across private markets. Her promotion reflects the firm’s continued investment in its leadership team and operational capabilities.
