The deadline for coverage starting January 1, 2027 is December 23, 2026. Open Enrollment continues through January 23, 2027, although coverage would not begin until February 1, 2027.

"While President Trump is trying to strip away health care from millions of Americans and make coverage more expensive for families, here in Massachusetts, we’re doing everything we can to protect access to affordable, high-quality health care coverage and keep costs down," said Governor Maura Healey. "I encourage everyone to check out their options through the Health Connector, see what financial assistance is available and get covered for 2027."

"In Massachusetts, we remain committed to keeping residents healthy and insured," said Health and Human Services Secretary Kiame Mahaniah, MD, MBA. "With the start of Open Enrollment, I want to remind residents that there are so many resources available to them to help them find and keep health plans that work for them and their families. We are grateful to our partners at the Massachusetts Health Connector who have – for over two decades – kept Massachusetts covered."

"Enrolling in high-quality health coverage is one of the most important actions individuals can take to protect their health and financial security, and the Health Connector is here to make it as easy as possible for Massachusetts residents," said Audrey Morse Gasteier, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Health Connector. "Massachusetts continues to lead the nation with its commitment to affordable coverage, and most people who sign up qualify for financial help through our ConnectorCare program. Whether enrolling for the first time or renewing coverage, our team and Navigator partners are here to help residents understand their options and find coverage that meets their needs and budget."

To mark the start of Open Enrollment, Governor Maura Healey and the Health Connector will hold a press conference on October 23 at 10:00 AM at the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building in Roxbury. The event will highlight the Health Connector's commitment to making health insurance coverage information and enrollment assistance accessible to communities across Massachusetts. Health Connector leaders and community partners will share enrollment information, explain how residents can get help choosing a plan, and encourage eligible residents to shop early. As part of the statewide effort to raise awareness of Open Enrollment, Boston's iconic Zakim Bridge will be illuminated in Health Connector blue and green on Monday, October 26.

Residents are encouraged to review their current coverage, update household and income information, and compare plan costs and benefits before selecting coverage for 2027. Free Navigator enrollment assistance is available at 50 locations across the Commonwealth, with support offered in 29 languages.

Residents can find assistance near them or apply by visiting MAhealthconnector.org or calling 1-877-MA-ENROLL (1-877-623-6765). TTY users can dial 711.
