iCOUNTER Names Mark H. FitzPatrick as Its Chief Financial Officer
Seasoned executive with leadership roles at SimpliSafe, Madison Square Garden Entertainment, WeWork, and Time Warner Cable joins iCOUNTER to lead financial strategy and support long-term growth
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--iCOUNTER, the leader in Third-Party Risk Intelligence and Counter Threat Operations, today announced the appointment of Mark H. FitzPatrick as Chief Financial Officer. Mark has more than 25 years of experience in high-profile leadership roles across technology, media, and consumer industries, and he will lead iCOUNTER's financial strategy and operations as the company scales to meet growing demand for precision threat intelligence.
As Chief Financial Officer, Mark will oversee iCOUNTER's finance organization, working closely with Chairman and CEO John Watters and the broader leadership team to guide the company's financial strategy and support the expansion of the Counter Threat Operating System™ (CTOS™) to more enterprise and public sector organizations.
"With nearly half of all breaches involving third parties, iCOUNTER is addressing one of cybersecurity’s most urgent challenges: the threats emerging across third-party ecosystems, where organizations have the least visibility and control," said Mark. "What sets iCOUNTER apart is its ability to turn threat intelligence into decisive action. I'm excited to join John and the team at this pivotal stage, building the financial foundation to accelerate growth and help more organizations counter threats before they become breaches."
Mark most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of SimpliSafe, where he oversaw financial operations, capital strategy, and long-term growth initiatives. Before joining SimpliSafe in 2022, he was Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Vice President of Madison Square Garden Entertainment, where he helped guide the company through the COVID-19 pandemic and drove strategic growth initiatives, including the acquisition of MSG Networks and the launch of The Sphere Las Vegas. He previously served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer of WeWork, where he helped scale the business and secure more than $10 billion in equity and debt capital. Earlier in his career, Mark held senior finance roles at Time Warner Cable, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of Residential Services, as well as leadership positions at AOL and Citigroup.
"Mark has spent his career helping category-defining companies scale, and he understands what it takes to turn rapid growth into durable, disciplined performance," said John. "As more organizations recognize that their greatest exposure sits across their vendors, suppliers, and partners - the demand for what we do is accelerating. Mark's experience building and scaling businesses at the highest levels makes him the right leader to help us meet that demand with discipline."
