Fujifilm Expands Bronchoscopy Portfolio With Two New 800 Series Bronchoscopes at CHEST 2026 Annual Meeting

LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation, a leading provider of endoscopic imaging and endosurgical solutions, today announced that the new EB-840S and EB-840T bronchoscopes join Fujifilm’s growing portfolio of advanced pulmonary solutions designed to support visualization, access, and procedural versatility. The new models expand Fujifilm’s bronchoscopy portfolio and are powered by the ELUXEO® Endoscopic Imaging System, featuring LED multi-light technology designed to support enhanced visualization. Both bronchoscopes will be publicly demonstrated at the 2026 American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) annual meeting in booth 827, October 19-21 in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Pulmonologists are navigating increasingly complex procedures, making high-quality visualization, maneuverability, and procedural versatility more important than ever,” said Tai Fujita, Senior Vice President, Endoscopy Division, FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation. “With the introduction of the EB-840S and EB-840T, we are continuing to build a comprehensive bronchoscopy portfolio that gives physicians access to advanced technologies designed around the needs of both routine and complex pulmonary procedures.”

Like the Fujifilm 700 Series specialty bronchoscopes, the EB-840S and EB-840T are equipped with intelligent CMOS Image Sensor technology for brilliantly clear, high-detailed images. Both models also incorporate competitive features designed to support physician handling and maneuverability, including a durable, lightweight ergonomic G7 grip, redesigned control portion, and 120° rotation of the insertion portion. The scopes feature a new suction valve and four scope switches, while a smaller distal tip diameter is designed to facilitate insertion into the bronchi while maintaining reliable suction performance. The introduction of the EB-840S and EB-840T builds upon Fujifilm’s broader portfolio of bronchoscopy technologies designed to support physicians across diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary procedures.

Also featured during CHEST will be Fujifilm’s first-to-market novel EB-710US balloon-less EBUS bronchoscope, which combines a slim distal-end design with a 2.2 mm working channel engineered to accommodate a range of needle sizes from 19G through 25G. The scope also provides 180° upward angulation, designed to support maneuverability and access during procedures.

Its balloon-less design is intended to streamline EBUS procedures by eliminating the need for balloon attachment and management while maintaining the procedural capabilities physicians need for tissue acquisition. The EB-710US is currently available for order in the United States.

Together, the EB-840S, EB-840T and EB-710US demonstrate Fujifilm’s continued investment in a comprehensive pulmonary portfolio that combines advanced visualization, maneuverability, and procedural versatility to support clinicians across a range of bronchoscopy applications.
