Symetra Names Ryan Snyder VP, IMO Channel

Appointment affirms Symetra’s commitment to supporting and expanding independent marketing organization channel

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Signaling an ongoing commitment to investing in its retirement distribution channels to meet the evolving needs of its partners, Symetra Life Insurance Company announced that Ryan Snyder has been named vice president, channel head for the independent marketing organization (IMO) channel, a new role. He reports to Andrew Farrell, senior vice president, Retirement Sales, Distribution and Marketing.

A seasoned leader with more than 20 years in financial services, Mr. Snyder joins Symetra following 14 years with Fidelity & Guaranty (F&G) Life Insurance Company in their annuity IMO channel, most recently as VP, National Accounts. In his new role, he will lead the vision and strategy for growing Symetra's IMO channel, with a focus on a more flexible platform, channel-specific product development and synchronizing product enhancements with Symetra’s expanding digital capabilities.

Prior to F&G, Mr. Snyder served in various sales and marketing leadership roles in the health and life insurance space at Aon Corporation and Monumental Life Insurance. A graduate of Towson University, Mr. Snyder earned an MBA from Loyola University Maryland. He is a member of the National Association for Fixed Annuities.
