EZ Bombs Raises $25 Million From CAVU After Expanding to More Than 8,000 Retail Locations
Family-founded creator of the Seasoning Bomb category scales national distribution across Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Albertsons and Publix.
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EZ Bombs, the creator of the Seasoning Bomb category and the #1 food and beverage product on TikTok Shop in 2025, today announced a $25 million Series A led by CAVU Consumer Partners. Pairing a genuinely new product with breakout momentum on social media, EZ Bombs has scaled from zero retail doors at the beginning of 2025 to more than 8,000 retail locations today. The company makes shelf-stable seasoning bombs that combine the chiles, spices and aromatics used in Mexican and Hispanic dishes, including Birria and Pozole. This innovative, incredibly convenient product simply dissolves in a pot, creating an easy, flavorful meal for the whole family while inventing an entirely new format in Mexican cooking.
EZ Bombs initially built much of its business through TikTok Shop and Amazon before moving rapidly into national retail. Its products are now sold across Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Albertsons, Publix and other retailers. As part of the investment, CAVU Principal Brandon Neumann will join EZ Bombs’ board of directors. The financing will support wider distribution, additional manufacturing capacity, new products and executive hires.
EZ Bombs was founded by Brandon Castaneda, now the company’s CEO, his mother Tina Castaneda and his sister Nichole Munoz. Brandon grew up loving his mother’s cooking but did not know how to recreate it himself. He and Tina began developing a way to turn the flavor base behind her recipes into a shelf-stable seasoning bomb. Nichole, who had built substantial social media audiences, joined to lead the company’s social strategy, while Tina became the face of the brand.
“Growing up, my mom’s cooking was the center of everything in our house, and I wanted anyone to be able to make those meals at home without spending all day in the kitchen,” said Brandon Castaneda, co-founder and CEO of EZ Bombs. “We took her recipes, packed the whole flavor base into one Bomb, and showed people how easy it could be. Partnering with CAVU lets us bring that to a lot more families, along with a lot more of the dishes we grew up on.”
The company’s first product was the Birria Bomb. Birria, the slow-cooked Mexican dish known for its chile-rich broth and increasingly popular tacos, traditionally requires dried chiles, garlic, onion, tomato and spices to be prepared together before cooking. Birria’s presence on U.S. restaurant menus grew 350 percent between 2021 and 2026, according to Datassential, indicative of the growing popularity of Mexican food in the U.S. EZ Bombs packages that flavor base into a single pre-portioned ball that can be dropped into a slow cooker, pressure cooker or pot.
TikTok Shop became the brand’s first major sales channel, with Tina dropping a Birria Bomb into a pot on camera to demonstrate in seconds what would’ve required over a dozen ingredients and hours of preparation. That simple visual helped make EZ Bombs the #1 food and beverage product on TikTok Shop in 2025, with more than 1 million units sold and the largest live show sales on the platform. Customers kept coming back for the flavor, with every Bomb built from Tina’s own recipes.
“Most seasonings are sold as ingredients while EZ Bombs starts with the meal,” said Brandon Neumann. “The speed with which EZ Bombs moved from digital demand into national retail – while remaining disciplined and profitable from day one – was one of the things that got our attention. Birria established the model, but the opportunity is much broader: simplifying meals that today’s consumers want to make but often find too complicated or time-consuming.”
EZ Bombs is already applying the approach to other dishes, selling separate Bombs for Pozole, Tinga, Chicken Chipotle and Chile Colorado, with additional Mexican seasoning bombs slated to arrive into retail doors later this year. Each Bomb packages all of the flavor base for a specific meal, removing the need for home cooks to identify, measure and prepare the individual ingredients.
As part of the investment, CAVU’s in-house value-add team, UNCOMMON, will partner closely with EZ Bombs across retail expansion, brand development, digital commerce, executive team expansion and other areas of the business as it continues to scale.
EZ Bombs products are available through major U.S. retailers, Amazon, TikTok Shop and EZBombs.com.
