In her expanded role, Morrell will help lead product development strategy across Longbridge Financial, working at the intersection of product, technology, operations, compliance, and sales to move new ideas from concept through implementation. Her promotion comes as Longbridge continues to invest in understanding the evolving financial needs of homeowners 55 and older and developing home equity products for the markets it serves.

"Homeowners 55 and older represent a large and diverse population with a wide range of financial circumstances and goals," said Melissa Macerato, chief revenue and marketing officer and co-founder of Longbridge Financial. "Larissa's years of experience working directly with loan officers and borrowers in the reverse mortgage industry have given her a deep understanding of what homeowners are looking for and what loan officers need to effectively serve this market. That perspective, combined with her ability to turn ideas into scalable products and solutions, makes her a natural fit for this expanded role."

Morrell has played a key role in several of Longbridge's recent product and strategic initiatives, including the launch and continued development of HELOC For Seniors® and the expansion of the company's proprietary Platinum reverse mortgage portfolio. She has also helped advance new tools, processes, and sales innovations designed to support loan officers, improve the borrower experience, and strengthen partner success.

"I believe product innovation starts with a deep understanding of how homeowners' financial needs are evolving," Morrell said. "There's an opportunity to think more broadly about the role home equity can play in a homeowner's financial planning and to develop products that address a range of needs and circumstances. I'm excited to continue that work and help Longbridge evolve its product portfolio."

Morrell brings more than two decades of mortgage and financial services experience to the role, with much of her career focused on the reverse mortgage industry. Before joining Longbridge Financial in 2022, she spent nearly nine years at Reverse Mortgage Funding, where she served as director of sales logistics and development. Earlier in her career, Morrell held leadership and business development roles at MetLife.

Since joining Longbridge, Morrell has expanded her focus from sales and strategic development into product innovation, helping bring together teams across sales, operations, technology, and compliance. Her progression to vice president of product development reflects Longbridge's continued investment in experienced industry leadership as the company expands its product capabilities and looks for new ways to serve the home equity market.
