Doximity and U.S. News & World Report Extend Partnership to Connect Patients with Hospitals and Doctors

Doximity helps to power U.S. News' Doctor Finder, Patient Connect appointment booking tools used by over 65 million Americans annually to find and schedule care

SAN FRANCISCO & WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Doximity (NYSE: DOCS), the leading digital platform for U.S. medical professionals, today announced it has extended its 13-year partnership with U.S. News & World Report, the nation's most trusted source of independent healthcare information, rankings and guidance to help patients identify the best care for their needs.

The extension reinforces Doximity's position as a trusted data provider for U.S. News' physician- and hospital-facing products. For more than three decades, U.S. News has helped patients and families make some of their most critical healthcare decisions — from identifying leading hospitals and specialty programs to researching physicians and finding appropriate care. The extended partnership combines U.S. News' trusted healthcare brand, independent rankings, and consumer-facing healthcare platform with Doximity's extensive physician network, data, and technology.

Doximity contributes data that is included in the U.S. News' Best Hospitals rankings and the tools that help patients find the right doctors and book appointments:

  • Expert Opinion Survey: Doximity will continue as U.S. News' exclusive third-party provider of the Expert Opinion physician survey, a measure used in the Best Hospitals and Best Children's Hospitals rankings — the nation's longest-running and most widely referenced hospital quality assessment, evaluating thousands of U.S. hospitals each year since 1990.
  • Doctor Finder: Doximity will continue supplying the physician profile data that powers U.S. News' Doctor Finder, helping patients book appointments with U.S. News hospital partners directly from the site. Doctor Finder has grown into one of the largest physician directories patients turn to when searching for care, drawing on Doximity's network of profiles spanning every specialty.
  • Patient Connect: Doximity will continue enabling patient appointment booking for U.S. News hospital partners through its Patient Connect product, connecting patients — who have relied on U.S. News' rankings for over three decades as an independent benchmark of hospital quality — directly to the care they're seeking.

“Doximity is proud to help so many Americans compare and connect with the right medical professionals for their healthcare needs," said Jared Wilkinson, group senior vice president of Hospital Partnerships at Doximity. “Our unique data is based on our network of more than 3 million members spanning every specialty and treatment, and we’re excited to continue this important and strategic relationship with U.S. News & World Report.”

“Trust in our Best Hospitals rankings starts with rigorous data, and ends with patients getting the best care," said Sumita Singh, executive vice president and general manager of Health at U.S. News. “This extension keeps Doximity's physician data behind Doctor Finder and Patient Connect, connecting more than 65 million people who use our site each year to the hospitals and doctors they need, often in the same visit.”
