The Tradition Continues...Clive Davis and Recording Academy®'s Pre-Grammy® Gala Confirmed to Take Place on Sat, Feb. 6, 2027
SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Clive Davis and Recording Academy®’s Pre-Grammy® Gala will take place on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027, at the Beverly Hilton, the evening before the 2027 Grammy Awards.
The highly anticipated evening is expected to feature spectacular performances from major artists while honoring the life and legacy of the late Clive Davis, the legendary music executive who passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 94. The four-time Grammy winner created the Pre-Grammy Gala in 1976 and partnered with the Recording Academy in 2009 to present the star-studded event. The evening, often referred to as “The Greatest Party Ever,” is renowned for its extraordinary, often once-in-a-lifetime musical performances, and the Gala traditionally attracts the biggest names from music, film, television, sports, politics, and the global business community.
Additional details will be released in the coming months.
“Clive built this gala into something the entire music community looked forward to for five decades. He never did it for applause or recognition. He did it because he loved this community, believed in the power of music, and understood what it meant to bring us all together to celebrate it,” said Harvey Mason jr., Grammys® CEO. “I was lucky to call Clive a friend and mentor, and working with him taught me so much. That’s exactly the spirit he brought to the Pre-Grammy Gala and I know he’d want nothing more than for the show to go on this year. It’s our honor to celebrate the legacy he left behind.”
