Infravision Wins Sustainability and Green Economy Category at the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards

Recognition highlights international growth of Queensland-developed technology in helping build the grid faster, safer, and more affordably

QUEENSLAND, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Infravision, a Queensland-founded company transforming how critical energy infrastructure is built and maintained, has won the Sustainability and Green Economy category at the 2026 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards. The award recognizes the company’s international success in deploying Australian-developed technology to help utilities expand critical electricity infrastructure.

Hosted by Trade and Investment Queensland, the awards recognize Queensland businesses achieving success in international markets. Infravision’s recognition reflects the growing role of its proprietary drone-enabled system in addressing a challenge facing utilities worldwide: building transmission infrastructure quickly enough to meet rising electricity demand.

“Building the grid is one of the most important infrastructure challenges facing the world, and Queensland has the engineering talent and practical expertise to help solve it,” said Cameron Van Der Berg, founder and CEO of Infravision. “This recognition belongs to our team and to the customers and partners who have helped us prove and scale our technology. We’re proud to take Queensland-developed innovation into international markets and to continue investing in the Australian capability behind it.”

Founded in Queensland in 2018, Infravision combines drones, intelligent ground equipment, specialized line hardware, and software into an integrated system for power line construction. The technology helps utilities and construction partners deliver faster and more affordably, improve safety, and reduce environmental and community disruption.

Infravision’s work with Australian utilities, including Powerlink Queensland, has provided a foundation for its international expansion. Experience gained delivering energy infrastructure at home has helped the company prove its technology to customers across North America and build demand for new approaches to grid construction.

The company maintains engineering and manufacturing operations in Coolum, Queensland. Those capabilities support Infravision’s growing operations in North America and its broader international business, while contributing to skilled employment and the development of Australian expertise in robotics, advanced manufacturing, and energy infrastructure.

“Our international growth builds on the work we do here at home,” Van Der Berg said. “As we expand, Queensland remains an important part of how we develop our technology, build our team, and deliver for customers. As electricity demand grows, we see a significant opportunity to expand Queensland’s contribution to building power grids around the world.”

The award was announced at the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards Dinner at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 8, 2026.
