SEVA Closes Oversubscribed $160 Million Sophomore Fund in Under One Month

Growth Equity Firm’s Sophomore Fund was Multiple-Times Oversubscribed and Exceeded Fund Target of $125 Million

SEVA II’s Limited Partners Include Portfolio Company Founders and a Diverse Group of Leading University Endowments, Charitable Foundations, and Cause-Based, Nonprofit-Focused Investment Managers

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SEVA Growth LP (“SEVA”) today announced the close of its second fund, SEVA II LP (“SEVA II”), with $160 million in capital commitments. The new fund was multiple-times oversubscribed and exceeded its original fundraising goal of $125 million in under one month.

SEVA was founded in 2023 by Managing Partner Shalin Mehta to serve as an active and collaborative minority growth equity partner to fast-growing, capital-efficient, customer-centric, founder-led businesses. SEVA invests exclusively in internet, software, data, marketplace, and technology-enabled services companies.

Mr. Mehta launched the firm at 28 years old, making him the youngest solo general partner in growth equity industry history.

SEVA’s debut fund, SEVA I LP (“SEVA I”), closed in October 2023 and was also multiple-times oversubscribed. SEVA I initially set out to raise $50 million and closed at $85 million in just four months. SEVA I was subsequently topped up by existing limited partners in 2025, bringing the total amount of capital raised to $91 million.

SEVA now has more than $250 million in assets under management. The firm did not use a placement agent in connection with either fundraising effort.

SEVA I has invested in five companies – Chicory, Inc., Teleskope Technologies, Inc., TitanFile, Inc., Pronto, and Serif Health – with plans to make minority investments in two additional companies. Mr. Mehta has joined the board of each of SEVA’s portfolio companies as part of its investment partnership.

The firm is led by Mr. Mehta, SEVA principal Roshan Joshi, and a select group of operating advisors.

Consistent with SEVA I, SEVA II aims to invest in between seven and nine companies, seeking to make targeted minority investments in businesses that complement its existing portfolio.

For its sophomore fund, SEVA received robust support from its existing blue-chip institutional limited partner base of leading university endowments, charitable foundations, cause-based, nonprofit-focused investment managers, and family offices. The fund also received contributions from new backers, including top-tier university endowments, charitable foundations, and cause-based, nonprofit-focused investment managers, which is consistent with the firm’s commitment to “seva,” a Sanskrit word for “selfless service.”

SEVA II was also backed by the continued support of an existing network of bootstrapped founders/CEOs and industry leaders with prior professional relationships with Mr. Mehta.

In addition, the founders from all five of SEVA’s portfolio companies invested as limited partners in SEVA II, reflecting their resounding endorsement of SEVA’s long-term strategy, operational value-add, and collaborative approach.

“Amidst a prolonged and tumultuous fundraising environment, we are grateful and humbled by the support of our existing and new institutional limited partners, including leading endowments, foundations, and cause-based nonprofits, as well as support from company founders with whom we have partnered in our first fund,” said Shalin Mehta, SEVA’s Founder and Managing Partner. “Our thematic focus and concentrated data-centric approach to minority growth equity allow us to build deep relationships with our founder partners, who are looking for a trusted strategic advisor to help accelerate and scale their businesses via profitable growth without ceding control.”

SEVA focuses solely on minority investments in profitable or near break-even, founder-led, technology-enabled companies with scalable business models, sustained organic revenue growth, proven go-to-market capabilities, high customer retention, and little to no institutional capital. The firm helps founders scale their businesses and accelerate long-term growth by advising on strategic and go-to-market planning, executive hiring, financial reporting, operational infrastructure, and exit planning.
