Pallas Textiles Brings Curated Colors, Nature-Inspired Patterns, and Exceptional Performance to Healing Environments

With care as the common thread, Pallas will showcase textiles designed to support the wellness journey at Healthcare Design Conference + Expo 2026 in Booth #1701.

GREEN BAY, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Healthcare designers are balancing an increasingly complex set of needs: creating welcoming spaces for patients, families, and caregivers while meeting demanding requirements for durability, cleanability, and sustainability. At Healthcare Design Conference + Expo 2026, Pallas Textiles will showcase how its portfolio brings together color, pattern, texture, and nature-inspired design to support healing environments throughout the care journey.

"Healthcare design has to balance how a space feels with how it performs. There’s an opportunity to use textiles to bring warmth, color, and meaning to these environments—to create spaces that feel more human."

From the first moments in a waiting area to time spent in patient spaces, each setting shapes how people experience care. Across outpatient, specialty, and community-based facilities, designers are looking beyond the sterile whites and grays often associated with traditional healthcare interiors. Layered color, natural influences, and tactile variation offer opportunities to create spaces that feel more welcoming and less institutional.

Pallas translates research-informed insights about healthcare environments into textile design and material selection. Considered alongside furniture and architectural walls in the design process, its textiles help designers carry a cohesive palette through spaces with different functions and performance demands.

“Healthcare design has to balance how a space feels with how it performs,” said Dean Lindsley, vice president, Pallas Textiles. “There’s an opportunity to use textiles to bring warmth, color and meaning to these environments—to create spaces that feel more considered and more human. At the same time, those materials must perform within the demands of healthcare. It’s about bringing those two elements together in a way that feels intentional rather than compromising one for the other.”

The Giverny Collection demonstrates that balance. Inspired by Claude Monet and the relationship between nature, light, color, and texture, the collection translates painterly influences into a coordinated palette of performance textiles. Layered hues and organic textures give designers options for waiting areas, patient spaces, behavioral health environments, administrative settings, and public interiors, with material selection tailored to each application.

While nonwoven materials remain a foundation of healthcare design for ease of cleaning, high-performance wovens offer additional opportunities to introduce softness, texture, and a welcoming feel. For instance, Toile from the Giverny Collection features incredibly durable abrasion resistance of up to 1,000,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs. Nymphea, also from the Giverny Collection, incorporates SEAQUAL™ YARN and post-consumer recycled polyester and is bleach-cleanable. Beautifully complementary, these textile choices give designers greater flexibility to address long-term performance while preserving visual integrity within a space.

As demand for sustainable materials grows in healthcare, sustainability and material transparency remain core pillars of the approach for Pallas. Beyond certifications, Pallas offers designers specific material choices and product-level information to support informed specification. Its portfolio includes HYPHYN™ biodegradable vinyl, SEAQUAL™ YARN, post-consumer recycled polyesters and bio-attributed materials, as well as Tekloom® Air Bio, a USDA Certified Biobased Product.

These options address waste reduction, recycled content, and renewable material sourcing while preserving the design aesthetics healthcare projects require. Product-specific disclosures, including Healthy Product Declarations where available, help designers understand material ingredients alongside performance and environmental attributes.

At Healthcare Design Conference + Expo 2026, attendees can explore Giverny and the broader Pallas portfolio, compare color and texture, and discuss performance, cleaning, and sustainability considerations with the team. With care as the common thread, Pallas demonstrates how thoughtful textile specification can connect the distinct spaces and experiences that make up the journey of care.
