Curated by Monk’s grandchildren Sierre Monk and Thelonious Monk IV, Sonic Journey draws from the family collection. On October 8 and 9, guests select from a Monk vinyl menu tracing Monk as pianist, composer and bandleader.

Six chapters, 18 records and 36 selections trace Monk’s evolution across decades and musical settings.

The Estate’s archival series Monk Live in Paris, 1967 returns listeners to Monk’s November 3, 1967 Salle Pleyel performance. Volume One is available now; Volume Two is Coming Soon.

On October 10, Monk’s birthday, Sierre Monk and Thelonious Monk IV are joined by Monk’s niece Angélika Beener (DJ Kultured Child), bringing her Monk vinyl collection for a family closing night.

TWO FLOORS. ONE SONIC JOURNEY.

Downstairs, the Vinyl Jukebox Omakase pairs Sonic Journey with a seven-course menu from Executive Chef Ignacia Valdés, drawing from Japanese technique and Chilean heritage.

Upstairs, the Cocktail Bar offers vinyl, Monk-inspired food and drinks, family hosting and weekend programming.

Building on 2025, Sonic Journey places the family’s records and their histories at the experience’s center.
