Suffolk Expands Las Vegas Leadership, Hires Jeff Wood and Promotes Chris Anderson

Experienced leaders bring deep gaming, hospitality and large-scale luxury residential project expertise to strengthen project delivery and support Suffolk’s continued growth in Southern Nevada and across its national gaming portfolio

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders in the country, has hired Jeff Wood as Executive Vice President of Las Vegas and promoted Chris Anderson to Chief Operating Officer of National Gaming and Las Vegas. Wood will lead Suffolk’s Las Vegas business, while Anderson will oversee the company’s national gaming portfolio and Las Vegas operations. Together, they will deepen relationships with clients and trade partners and apply Suffolk’s technology- and data-driven approach to support precise planning, dependable execution, and schedule certainty. They will report to Pete Tuffo, President of Gulf Coast Region, Las Vegas and National Gaming at Suffolk.

Mr. Wood will set the strategic direction for Suffolk’s Las Vegas business, overseeing its portfolio, strengthening senior client relationships, and aligning people and technical resources with client and market priorities. In partnership with Suffolk’s national gaming leadership, he will build the capabilities and relationships to support continued growth in Southern Nevada.

He joins Suffolk from McCarthy with over 25 years of experience and an extensive record delivering high-profile gaming, hospitality, and sports and entertainment projects throughout Las Vegas. His experience includes Allegiant Stadium, the renovation and expansion of Palms Casino Resort, the Circa Resort & Casino and Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. Throughout his career, he has led complex projects that demanded rigorous coordination, aggressive schedules and seamless integration within active hospitality and entertainment environments.

“Jeff’s experience delivering complex projects throughout Las Vegas, combined with Chris’ deep market and industry knowledge, gives us a strong leadership team for this next phase of growth,” said Mr. Tuffo, President of Suffolk’s Gulf Coast Region, Las Vegas and National Gaming. “They understand the expectations of our clients operating in highly visible, schedule-driven environments and their leadership will help our teams deliver with the discipline, collaboration and innovation that define Suffolk.”

“Las Vegas projects demand strong teams, detailed planning and a clear understanding of how every construction decision affects the client and guest experience,” said Mr. Wood. “Suffolk’s collaborative culture and technology-driven approach create a powerful platform for delivering complex work, and I look forward to helping our teams build on the momentum already established in the market.”

Mr. Anderson brings more than 40 years of construction management experience spanning nearly every phase of project delivery. Since joining Suffolk in 2025 as General Manager of its Las Vegas office, he has worked closely with clients and project teams to advance the company’s work in the region. As Chief Operating Officer of National Gaming and Las Vegas, he will oversee Suffolk's national gaming projects while continuing to align teams and resources, strengthen client partnerships, and drive consistent execution across Suffolk's Las Vegas projects.

Since opening its Las Vegas office in 2023, Suffolk has expanded its local team and operations to serve a growing portfolio across Southern Nevada. These investments strengthen the company’s ability to support clients and projects throughout the region.

Suffolk’s work in the region includes Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas; the Durango Casino & North Expansion, which recently reached the midway point; the Flamingo Las Vegas lobby renovation; and Campus for Hope, a 20-plus-acre campus providing comprehensive services addressing homelessness. Nationally, Suffolk’s gaming portfolio includes the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Hotel in Hollywood, Florida; Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino in Okeechobee, Florida; Encore Boston Harbor; and Chicken Ranch Casino Resort in Jamestown, California.
