Fiber Broadband Association Marks 300th Episode of Fiber for Breakfast with NTIA Administrator Arielle Roth
Milestone episode features one of the nation’s leading telecommunications policymakers as broadband moves from historic investment to deployment—and toward the next generation of digital infrastructure
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) today announced that its Fiber for Breakfast series will celebrate its 300th episode on Wednesday, October 14, with special guest Arielle Roth, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information and Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
Over 300 episodes, Fiber for Breakfast has become a weekly forum for the broadband industry to hear directly from the policymakers, network operators, technology leaders, researchers, and innovators shaping the future of connectivity. Hosted by FBA President and CEO Gary Bolton, the series has examined many of the industry’s most consequential issues—from the creation and implementation of the BEAD program and the economics of fiber deployment to workforce development, rural connectivity, permitting, network resilience, artificial intelligence, data centers, and quantum networking.
“Fiber for Breakfast has become my weekly tutorial on the issues shaping our industry,” said Gary Bolton, President and CEO of the Fiber Broadband Association. “Each week, we bring together experts and policymakers who can help our members better understand where the industry is headed and what it means for their businesses and communities. We could not ask for a timelier guest for our 300th episode than Administrator Roth as our industry moves from the largest broadband investment cycle in our nation’s history into deployment and the next era of critical fiber infrastructure.”
Administrator Roth joins the milestone episode at a pivotal moment for the broadband industry. With the BEAD program moving from planning and approvals into deployment, attention is increasingly turning to execution—how states, providers, manufacturers, and communities can translate historic public investment into reliable, future-ready networks.
The conversation will explore BEAD implementation and early deployment, public-private investment, recent program changes, the role of American-made broadband infrastructure, and efforts to reach locations that remain unserved after initial awards.
Bolton and Administrator Roth will also look beyond BEAD to the rapidly evolving demands being placed on America’s communications infrastructure. Their discussion will examine fiber’s growing role in supporting artificial intelligence, data centers, quantum technologies, and other emerging applications that will require increasingly high-capacity, resilient, and low-latency networks.
“Connecting every American to reliable, high-speed broadband remains one of our industry’s most important missions,” Bolton added. “But the infrastructure we are building today must also be capable of supporting what comes next. Fiber will be foundational not only to universal broadband, but to America’s ability to compete in an increasingly AI-driven economy.”
Fiber for Breakfast airs Wednesdays at 10 a.m. ET. The 300th episode featuring Administrator Roth will air Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
