Regulatory Affairs Partner Jeff Beelaert Joins Dorsey in Boise

BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jeff Beelaert has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Partner in the Firm’s Regulatory Affairs group in Boise, the international law firm announced today.

Jeff's practice focuses on natural resources litigation, with particular emphasis on permit and project challenges. He represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the region and across the country. Jeff litigates novel and contested issues arising under environmental, energy, administrative, and constitutional law, particularly on challenges to environmental permits and project approvals. He advises clients on environmental statutes such as the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act, and he handles matters involving telecommunications, technology, and appeals.

Before entering private practice, Jeff held several positions at the U.S. Department of Justice, including Deputy Associate Attorney General and Appellate Attorney in the Environment and Natural Resources Division. Jeff comes to Dorsey from Givens Pursley LLP, where he was a Partner. Jeff received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, his MPP from Duke University, and his B.S. from the United States Naval Academy.
