Teachers and Students From China East Education Won Two Gold Medals and One Silver Medal at the 48th WorldSkills Competition
HEFEI, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 48th WorldSkills Competition, hailed as the "Skills Olympics," concluded in Shanghai on the evening of September 27. China topped both the gold medal tally and the overall team standings for the fifth consecutive time, securing a total of 41 gold, 11 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
Among them, three teachers and students from China East Education won two gold medals and one silver medal. Yang Xiaojian, a teacher at Anhui New East Senior Technical School, won gold in the Cooking (Western Cuisine) event; Wang Tianxiang, a student at the same school, won gold in the Sugar Art / Western Pastry Making event; and Li Xin, a student at Chengdu On-Mind Technical School, won silver in the Hairdressing event.
All three winners are members of Generation Z. After passing through a series of selection rounds at the school, provincial, and national levels, they represented China on the world stage. Their achievements reflect the systematic talent development system at China East Education, which has long been committed to integrating industry standards with teaching practices. The group operates three WorldSkills China training centers, covering the disciplines of Culinary Arts (Western Cuisine), Sugar Art / Western Pastry, and Hairdressing.
This year’s competition attracted 1,385 competitors from 68 countries and regions to compete in 64 events, making it the largest in the competition’s history and the first time it has been held in China.
