ReliaQuest Names Krish Venkataraman Chief Financial Officer

Venkataraman brings more than 20 years of public and private leadership experience across cybersecurity, enterprise technology, AI, and financial services

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ReliaQuest, the global leader in Agentic AI cybersecurity, today announced that Krish Venkataraman will join the company as Chief Financial Officer on October 5. Venkataraman will lead ReliaQuest’s global finance and accounting organization and work across the company as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

“Krish understands and has a deep appreciation for the problem we solve in AI and cybersecurity,” said Brian Murphy, founder and CEO of ReliaQuest. “His experience leading public and private technology companies, combined with his finance and technology background, will build on our already strong team and support our growth as we help more organizations defend against AI-accelerated threats.”

Venkataraman brings more than 20 years of leadership experience at public and private companies across cybersecurity, enterprise technology, and financial services. He has served as President, CFO and COO and has helped multiple companies scale and prepare for significant strategic and capital-markets milestones. As Co-President and CFO of KnowBe4, he helped lead the company through a period of significant growth, scaling the business from approximately $10 million of ARR to approximately $300 million of ARR, and helped take the company public on Nasdaq in 2021 in one of the most successful technology IPOs of the decade.

Venkataraman joins ReliaQuest from Solink, an AI technology company, where he served as CFO. Previously he was President of Dataiku and CFO of Socure, two leading technology companies in AI, data, and cybersecurity. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Dealogic, Syncsort, NYSE Euronext, Lehman Brothers, American Express and Deloitte.

“ReliaQuest is addressing one of the most important challenges facing organizations today: how security teams can keep pace with increasingly sophisticated and AI-accelerated threats,” said Venkataraman. “What attracted me to ReliaQuest is the combination of a critical customer problem, differentiated technology and a clear opportunity to redefine how organizations operate their security programs. GreyMatter brings together the technologies security teams already rely on with agentic AI to help them detect, investigate, and respond more effectively. I’m excited to join the ReliaQuest team and help build on the company’s momentum and expand its impact globally.”

Venkataraman holds an MBA from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Carnegie Mellon University. He also serves as a board member and advisor to several companies across cybersecurity, AI, and enterprise technology.

About ReliaQuest

ReliaQuest is an agentic AI cybersecurity company whose platform, GreyMatter, serves as the Agentic Defense for the enterprise—defending organizations against AI-accelerated attacks. Any defender can harness that AI to detect threats, run investigations, execute response, and hunt across their entire tech stack in plain language without requiring any tool expertise.

GreyMatter makes this possible through three capabilities: the Universal Translator, which automatically normalizes telemetry across any vendor without data centralization; Detection at Source, at Storage, or in Transit, which catches threats where data lives or as it moves before it is ever indexed, parsed, or stored; and Agentic Orchestration, which combines a natural language operating layer, multiple autonomous agentic systems, and an AI Model Broker that continuously selects the best model for every task based on speed, cost, and accuracy.

GreyMatter enables organizations to re-architect their security environment for speed, efficiency, and cost control. ReliaQuest has been making security possible since 2007.
