MEMX’s customer priority, pro-rata exchange reaches full symbol availability with strong early trading activity

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MEMX Group, a technology-driven exchange operator founded by members to benefit all investors, today announced the successful completion of the MX2 Options rollout. MX2 Options launched with an initial 10 symbols on September 14, 2026. Over the following two weeks, the exchange continued to scale operations until all symbols went live on September 30.

Since launch, MX2 Options has continued to grow while building trading activity and participation across the platform with 10 dedicated Lead Market Makers (LMMs) providing continuous liquidity in over 3,600 option symbols. From September 14 through September 30, MX2 executed 446,956 trades in over 1.65 million contracts (single count) across 1,285 symbols, including over $871 million in notional traded. On September 30, MX2 market share was 0.43% of total and 0.76% of regular electronic trading.

“Completing the MX2 Options rollout marks an important milestone for MEMX and reflects the tremendous work of our team and support from our members and the broader options community,” said MEMX Group CEO Jonathan Kellner. “With the full rollout complete, our focus now turns to building on the early activity we’ve seen on MX2 and continuing to deepen liquidity across the exchange. We created MX2 to give market participants another way to access options liquidity, and we’re excited to see that vision take shape as the market continues to grow.”

Built on MEMX Group’s proven technology infrastructure, MX2 expands the firm’s options offering through a customer priority, pro-rata allocation model that enables a size-based approach to order execution. The exchange provides market participants with an additional way to access and provide liquidity while offering the familiar technology and trading experience MEMX members already know and trust.
